December is the best time to browse through the October Filter flotsam, as they’re now heavily discounted like Valentine’s Day candy in August. They’re probably still fresh though. Maybe.

Cam Girl – Flesh & Chrome Review
“Every once in a blue moon, reviewing a local band—especially a largely DIY band like Asheville, North Carolina’s Cam Girl—comes with a few extra perks. Because of our proximity, I secured promo months in advance in the form of a sick translucent cyan vinyl and a digital mp3, and gleaned additional insight into how this record was made. Having that much more exposure and access to the band by the grace of locality helped contextualize exactly what Cam Girl aspire to be.” Think brutally, shop locally.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Executive Dysfunction™! Let’s make a list!

Dreamslain – Forge of Rebellion Review
“One of the best things about living in Europe is the ease of access to hundreds of amazingly varied locations within a few hours of relatively cheap travel, traversing borders, languages, and cuisines. One of my most favorite destinations is Tromsø in Northern Norway; a grand coastal city with modern amenities ensconced in the beautifully bleak Scandinavian wilderness. It makes for a great hub to discover scarcely-touched lakes, waterfalls and mountains. A little band called Dreamslain hails from Tromsø, and their second full-length album is called Forge of Rebellion.” Dreams in the wilderness.
AMG Turns 15: Middle Management Speaks
AMG middle management are a bunch of grasping, entitled prima donnas. It will be great fun hearing what AMG means to them on this somber 15-year milestone. And for the last time, there will be NO bonuses this year!
